Nic and Cantata Collective celebrate the release of a sparkling, spontaneous recording of Bach's B Minor Mass

Following their critically acclaimed recording of J.S. Bach's St. John Passion — praised by BBC Radio 3's Record Review as "an immediate hit" — Nic and Cantata Collective have just released their immersive new album of the Mass in B Minor, the crowning achievement of the composer's final years.

Recorded live in 2023 on Bach's birthday in Berkeley, California, Cantata Collective's latest release on AVIE Records exudes a spontaneity that reveals the depth and passion of Bach's affirmation of faith. Joining Nic and Cantata Collective's orchestral and choral forces on this recording are soprano Sherezade Panthaki, mezzo-soprano Rhianna Cockrell, tenor Thomas Cooley, and bass-baritone Paul Max Tipton.
The album is now available for purchase as a physical CD — or listen wherever you stream or download music.
