A love for Handel runs in the family

Nicholas McGegan

Nic’s just back from a brief holiday, which included some genealogical research. He visited Beverley in Yorkshire, where his great, great, great grandfather was organist in the late 18th century. His son and he were organists there for 96 years. His son presided over festivals in the Minster which often included Handel’s music. The organ they played, a magnificent instrument by John Sneltzer, is still in use. A love for Handel runs in the family!
